Didn't notice till I bolted on some Webers.

So I bought a twin 40mm Weber setup with Empi manifolds and K&N filter's w/ hex bar linkages. Just doing a mock up to see what nut&bolt goes were, I noticed that the passenger side air filter is extremely close to the firewall. Adding that the motor is a 1600 tp and the gearbox is a 3 rip kombi. Should it be so close? Cause I'm worried that with engine vibration, the lid of the air filter will rub on the firewall.

Can anyone shed some light?

shave a bit angle into the manifold

Check that your manifolds aren't "handed".... that is that there's not a left and a right, and that you've got 'em on the wrong way round.

:tu:

Also is your engine centered in the bay properly ??? There's a bit of adjustment in the trans mount to get it all dead center...

Sounds like fun, and something I can do, cheers. I'd still like to know tho if I have other issues here?

Cheers Sides, I'm heading out to the shed now. Do some investigating.
