I have my engine out at the moment and noticed that there is some leakage around the base of the filler neck/generator pedestall. I thought that this could possibly be because the vent like gasket underneath it is facing the wrong way and when i pour oil in, it diverts it away from the hole in the case and encourages oil leaks?
any ideas? Oh and i am running a late 1200 block with a D shaped hole in the crankcase (under the filler.)
