As the topic suggests, its for a mod plate application for my 1970 beetle in Tasmania.
Body off resto is happening (slowly but surely).
I plan to invest in two (2) AirKewld products, the:
1969-1979 Complete Lowering Kit
4 inch narrowed kit
and
1969-75 Beetle/Ghia Complete Disc Brake Kit - Stage 3 - 5x205mm
My question to you experienced dubbers is: Am i best to put everything on the car and submit mod form after everything is done, or submit the form and
then do all the work....
Its doing my head in just thinking about it, i think i have the feeling of, what if im denied?
Here is what our form in Tassi looks like, we come on vsb14.

As for other mod platable things to be done down the track, a 1916 engine in around a year or less.
Jeremy
you need to check that a narrowed beam is legal, my understanding is that any reducion in track is illegal
Track is measured from centre of tyres. Even our bus when engineered was scrutinised, and found to be 10mm wider in track than original, which was fine, as you are allowed 25mm change, being 13mm'ish per side.

25cm is closer to 10 inches ,but you have 1 inch to play with thats it legally,
Yeah 25mm, being 1 inch total.
Beam not narrowed on the bus, but the wider tyres and different rim offset is what changed the track. 205/55/16
