Hi all,
I've bought a new Scat 8 dowel flywheel and have put it on to check end float etc (planning to take it on and off a few times before putting seals in
place and so on) and it's stuck! Normally I find a couple of levers and a bit of a wiggle and they come on and off pretty easily, but this one has
stuck fast on the first go.
Any ideas on the best way to get it off? A big gear puller perhaps?
Any input appreciated.....
Thanks, Marc.
FBH ?
FBH? You've lost me.....
I've got one. looks like a realy big hammer, so mine's a RBH
Sorry, not much help, but I'm filling in time.
Give me a call and I'll talk you through it.....or but a Gene Berg Book of Instruction.....it's detailed it there!
Haha, right, got it now thanks Don! I'm not keen on hitting it though......
Matt, thanks, I'll give you a call...
don't hit it! it will damage the seating area for sure even if you can't see damage there will be some.
yeah I am not sure how you would get it off without wiggling it or belting it?
Perhaps 2 opposing pry bars in sync while someone holds the flywheel to make sure it doesn't skew or knock the crank end on its way off? hmmm not
sure?

Flywheel sucessfully removed!
Nothing that can't be achieved with a 20 tonne three arm hydraulic puller. Didn't even have to pull very hard in the end, just gentle application of
Pascals principle and she came off smoothly.
Not an FBH in sight!
Thanks for all suggestions.
