Just fitted a progressive weber and the problem is there is not enough room for my trusty old fuel pump. Is there a suitable mech pump that will fit
- has to be stumpy? I believe these are capable of delivering the required 3 - 5 psi
Cheers
Dave

Thanks. I found a new pump hidden away and installed it - no worries. Runs great.
the only pump to use i had the brass fittings pull out of the other type and spray all over the engine, talk about scared, engine spluttering so i left it running and opened the door and there it was my own little fountain all my mates were gone when i looked back but i passed them at the 100 yard mark, and the old thing just sat there so a quick flick of the ignition and another run away all went well

Thats a great thread. Even tho it seems to be running well at the moment, after reading that thread I would like to see what the existing jetting is.
I purchased the unit from the states and was already 'set up' so I just took it out of the box and put it on. Does anyone in oz sell jets for
these?
Lauzboy, have you modified your preheat pipes as suggested in the thread? Not sure if i need to living in QLD.
Cheers
Dave
i followed John's instructions to the letter including modifying the extractor so that it flows thru (as opposed to oscillating).
Even living in QLD i think there's no harm in having it. In my experience, the exhaust preheating definitely helps with maintaining a constant temp
of the manifold (and therefore the mixture). I would expect that even in QLD there would be benefit of having this setup.
Also Im a big convert to the SVDA. With the 009 there used to be a big lump in the throttle response just off idle. With the SVDA its far more
smooth, even when i deliberately lug it in 4th at 40kph and then come onto the throttle.
BTW I'll be selling my exhaust soon if your interested. Getting a Vintage Speed exhaust. And I'll be moving to Brissie from Syd
