wide 5 balancing

I'm after someone to balance my standard wide 5 wheels. Can't seem to track anyone down. Do they need an on car balancer. Aaron

Just take them to any wheel and tyre shop?

The only issue I've had one time is that the centre hole in the wheel was too larger for the mounting cones they had at one shop. So all I did was take a spare front drum along for them to bolt the wheel to. No issue then.

Now I just go to a different tyre shop in town and their balancing machine has big enough cones to fill the gap.

try beaurepaires or any tyre place that fits tyres to small trucks.
they normally have a balancer that will do the vw rim.

Like Ian said. If you use the spare drum method the drum can be out of balance itself and NFG,

I have tried a few tyre shops and no luck. One guy said I needed a an on car balancer. Guess I will keep trying.

I'm on the Central Coast: 2262.
Have static balancer with a wide five alloy plate made from a 356 brake drum plus an 'on the car' balancer.
Give me a PM - I do them often.
Lance.
