fans in a kombi

hi

i`ve heard that late model kombis had twin fans under neath the dash installed .

will these fit a 71 kombi ?

if not ... were they available for a 71 kombi ?

hope someone can help..

Yes they do fit.
Make sure you get all the wiring and the switch and its an easy job.

My '75 kombi has one fan only (on the left), the other is missing.

It's really noisy, and to be honest it doesn't offer any great advantage over just having the front vent open. I never use it. So if I were you I wouldn't bother.

The fans fit in all teh bay window front vents and work very well.

If they are noise I suggest you check to make sure the blades are clearing the steel outer sleeve when spinning.

It allows you to get air moving when the van is not.

They are not uncommon, any VW wrecker that has Kombi's would more than likely have some, I was at Stokers Siding and they had some in some old Kombi's out the back, you could try them!
