play in 68 steering
DubCrazy - March 19th, 2012 at 10:42 PM

on the second new trw box and still it has the same freeplay and its driving me nuts!!

u can turn the steering wheel a good 2cm before it takes up the slack which can be a bloody scary thing at speed... pretty much everything has been replaced so i dont know what to do...

the only thing thats not stock is its running 2.5 droped spindles.

tryed tightening the box and nothing, made sure everything is tight and in the right spot... u can see the movment on thw input shaft so it has to be something to do with the box..

anyideas would be grand

cheers

steff............

I've just come to accept that steering play is part of a classic bug :p

It's going to be different on mine cause it's Link Pin, Country Buggy front and yours is ball joint.

I might be able to do you up a kit once I get that 1500 I'll have a Balljoint pan to play around with.
