Wiring Diagram for a Aus 66-67 VW beetle
smithy68 - June 19th, 2012 at 07:47 PM

Looking to see if any one can email, show me a link for the correct wiring diagram for a 66-67 Aus VW beetle, with wire colours, or diagram in colour.
Or, if someone could tell me which colour wires got to the rear tail light, brake , and number plate lights would be a great help.

Brake light, black with red trace, # plate small gauge grey with trace (colour not pos, usually red or black) doubles off the rh tail light circuit

Pretty much the same for Oz, USA and UK mate.

Should be: Brake - Black/red trace, Rear lights - Grey/black trace but could be one wire per side so maybe also a grey/red trace. Licence spurs off of drivers wire halfway along the engine firewall ;)

Thanks Matt for the individual colours, I 've got it sorted now with Lees and your help, the Aus wiring is different from the U.S and German, that's why I asked for an Aus wiring diagram.
