Anyone seen these before, pretty awesome and only $4.5k!
I think ther were developed for aeroplane engines, very must have!
Christmas is comeing soon

The engineering looks very ugly, no inclined valves, welded rockers, i think i will stick to the standard head lay out.
STD VW heads don't have inclined valves, look at the equivilent valve size comparison...
"16v combustion chamber side. Dual 35.5 intake valves equal the curtain flow area of a single 70mm intake valve. (curtain flow area is defined as
area of perimeter of valve multiplied by the height of the lift multiplied by 2 valves). The dual 32mm exhuast valves have a curtain flow area equal
to a single 64mm exhaust valve. This huge valve area combined with a good port, is the reason for the huge gains in horsepower and torque. "
70 and 64 mm valves = big flow.
Maybe the welded rockers are prototypes.
Anyhoo I think they look pretty trick.
How do you get rid of all the extra heat you are going to generate with the size of the fins, still crudly built when you could CNC the whole assembly
seems like a good set of heads, I would still opt for JPM MS230
it does say that street heads have full fins for proper cooling but honestly if you wanna 16v a VW head then the best way is how Porsche did it for
their flat6 and that's with OHC and chain/belt drives.
That would be a much better engineered engine.
