I'm looking for some one to do a valve job on a pair of German 2 litre heads in Sydney ( north side preferred ). Who can you recommend.

most engine shops should be able to do it.

Look for a cylinder head reconditioners in the Yellow pages and then phone to make sure they don't mind doing aircooled heads as some do.

Nearest one to me in Brissy cost $450 for new guides, valves and studs. He said it woulda been $600 but felt guilty for such an old donk ;)

Thanks Ian. I can google no problems but I was actually after a shop some one could recommend. A VW engine lives or dies by the quality of its heads. There are plenty of shops around who will do them, I'm looking for someone who does them well.

Are you willing to send them interstate? If so give Matt Berry a buzz.
