how to fit cookie cutters?
sleeper - September 2nd, 2003 at 06:46 PM

just wondering how hard it would be to fit some cookie cutters on an oval...i assume that the stud pattern would need to be changed...maybe upgrade to discs....anyone done this before?opinions..

It ALL depends

You need to get the right off set for your wheels front and back

You need to know what brakes you are going to attatch then too so as you dont effect the track, hence offset

You need to re-drill (no no dont do that) your hubs/rotors or get new true blanks. Not blank 4 stud drilled to 5.
or
Convert all round to disc.

Get some 15 x 6s they should fit under the guards Ok as several cars down here have them

If your going to that trouble then a better idea would be Discs and Type 3 rears or dics all around first before the wheels.

hey sleeper, Cam's got these for sale:

http://www.aussieveedubbers.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=10072

They're the size and width i'm looking for on my 54,(dont worry, i wont be buyng these) right now i've got 15X7" rears running 225/60/15 hankook K406's... they dont on the trailing arm, bu they do stick out about 1/2". funny thing though, they didnt stick out on my 64... I'd run 195/65/15's on the front if you had 6" rims...

just my 2c
