kustomkool,
Thanks for the love! I actually might have a buyer for the Silver Bullet, so I will buying a new project soon. Hopefully a crotch cooler split
window bug. The web site will be getting some updates soon, so stop by in the near future. All new pictures will have excellent picture quality.
Many of the pictures are old and were taken with non-digital cameras and scanned with poorly.
Welcome to Quintin! Hey dude, I cant believe that car hasnt got a lot more trophies! Damn, there wouldnt be too many dubs that are nicer than that
around! Crotch Cooler BUg, WOW. That would be good to see, and Especially with the quality of work you guys put into the cars, that car will be
nothing short of amazing!
Cheers N!
Actually, I haven't won any trophies, but I have 5 magazines and 2 covers! I think that is way better than any trophy anyway.
Well there you go! I cant believe it! But I do have 2 mags with it! We only get Volksworld, Hot vw's and Trends down here! Good luck with the
sale!
Cheers N!
Thanks! It was in Super VW (France), Let's Play VW (Japan), and German Speed (Germany) magazines and the two you have of course. Sure do hope I sale the bug because I need a Split Window! Take care...

kustom, do you want the repro ones or what? send me an email.
Darryn Everett's Notch - GFK_UK
Man I love that car. Darryn really put in down for the GFK on the type III tip.
Here are a few peices of street art by Tony (Skim) Wysinger, our talented artist member. Art with a GFK influence. The first is an old school
drawing of a GFK T-shirt. The second is of a box car Skim painted. Some people may say that is vandalism. And is some cases I would have to agree.
But this is bonified art.
Why did only one picture show up? Lets try that again. Hers the T-shirt.
Very cool guys:thumb
Love your artwork
very kool, man whens German folk oz chapter gonna happen?I know some nice rides that would look def with a German Folk sticker waving on the back.Watcha ya think?
KK, I asked one of the guys ages ago about a chapter in Oz, but no go! Maybe in the future though, they might want guys from down here, and hopefully
the 63 will be up to the quality the GFK require!
Dont forget the Oildrippers!
PS When Can I get the Stickers?
N!
Hey Unity, who did you speak to from The Folks? I appologize for not getting back to you.
We (the German Folks) definitly have high quality standards for our cars, but there really is much more to the club than just that. We
"want" people from everywhere. But we worry about the club image and the affect that multiple chapters would have on the club. This is
really a touchy subject. Its hard to say what we have to without coming across as assholes. Beleive me we dont sit around thinking that we are
better than anyone or any club. But at the same time we think that if we made membership available to everyone we would loose our edge in the VW
game. We started as a small club out of the Inland Empire California (the IE) and the founders never imagined that the club would grow to where it is
now. As the third generation of German Folks we have to try to preserve what we have and what the foundes layed down. It wasnt until recently that
we even branched out of California. And even then that only happened because original members moved out to other states and started their own
chapters.
The German Folks club is alittle different than alot of other clubs. We dont pay due, have meetings, or have a president or anything like that.
Senority rules in the Folks. We are just a "bunch" of really good freinds that love the same style of car and have the same idea of what is
the right way to build a car. That doesnt mean its the only way, and doesnt mean its the "right" way. But its the German Folks way.
I literaly answer 10-15 emails a week from VW enthusiasts wanting to know how to become members. The answer we have come up with is this: you must
have a sponsor. A member must vouch for you. Any freind of any German Folks members is a friend of mine, and visa-versa. We think that this is the
only way to truely stay exclusive without sounding snobish.

Trayle, It was actually you I emailed a long time ago, I was actually asking you for info about narrowing my beam! Its cool about the club, I
understand that you must be freinds, cause really thats what being a club is all about! End of the day we both/all love VW and If I can appriciate
your car and you mine, well thats whats important! Hopefully next year I will be coming to the states for one of the pomona swaps, maybe I will bump
into you guys and have a beer and talk shiat! it was actually your brown car that really got me to buy a bug (I drive my notch everyday, which I
wanted to make it a weekend drive, but it drove too nice, and really wanted a t3 ghia, to fully resto, but the bug hit me) Ever since seeing your
Brown t1 I have been really interested in your clubs rides, cause all of them are wicked (not trying to sound like im sucking up, its just the truth!)
I dont know of any other club with as many nice rides as the German Folks! (if there is anyother club please let me know!!!)
Cheers Nectar!
