Hi there, wanted to start a thread with websites for parts and you opinions on the speed of service, ease of communication, the price of the item and
the quality of the product, does it match the description?
I dont know if this has already been done, but I cant find it.
Im going to start with .
http://www.classicveedub.com.au
I haven't purchased anything from them yet, but their proces seem reasonalbe and the quality of the product looks good.
Thanks
Stuart
awaiting the political B***S*** about negative dealings with suppliers/workshops... will work if ONLY the positive experiences are mentioned though, keep it in mind when posting guys, sucks but thats the way it happens on here
Well the threads working well isnt it??
Looks like Classic Vee Dub are going to make a fortune.....
http://wolfsburgwest.com/
Anyone tried them?
Thoughts??
I found Wolfsburgwest excellent. They have quality products an know what they are talking about.
Cheers, Greg
have bought stuff from classic no problems with parts or delivery
Happy Daze,
How did you create an account with them? Wolfsburg west I mean.
I dont think i want to ring Germany, or where ever it is to get my parts.
How did you go about it??
I dealt with Wolfburgwest though Steve Muller (Kombi Rescue). Steve has an account there, and it suited me to buy through Steve, as he knows much more
about VWs than I do - didn't want to end up with the wrong bits. W.West are in USA, not Germany.
Cheers, Greg
vintage vee dub, nsw.
Rang Classic Vee Dun yesterday afternoon at about 430.
Ordered some Jpipes and clamps.
Came thismorning at 1030.
UNREAL.
So good.
Im suposed to be going fishing this weekend, i think i might put it off to keep working on the car....
i have tried
Classic vee dub
vintage vee dub supplies
Avanced VW Performance centre
and micks motors
all are pretty good.i personally had a bit of trouble with CVD not receiving parts, but the rest are great.
most of my parts are from micks.
I like to use wolfsburg automotive in vic. He is not the cheapest but you have a good chance of getting the right part and the quality will be the best avilable. Mick motors is just down the road from me, but i find you need to check the part your self before buying! They have very good prices and survice but.... Ill pay the shipping fee from VIC to QLD
ive used most of them with no problems.

Have ordered rebuild parts from the store below, they were very helpfull, and postage from the US was very reasonable. Worth a look at their site.
http://www.mofoco.com
Do a search on the Samba and Shoptalk re mofoco
CSP - the service has been fantastic.
- parts arrive within a week.
- the website is easy to navigate and loaded with useful information.
- excellent communication.
- spend enough Euros, and CSP throws in a huge hardcover parts catalogue (pity I can't read German!)
http://www.csp-shop.de/cgi-bin/cshop2/front/shop_main.cgi
Vintage Vee Dub
- use the website to get the phone number and the address.
- great to look @ real parts, rather than images on a monitor.
- fantastic service.
- some cool looking cars in the workshop.
Great site - added to my ever growing list of people to deal with ...cheers!
Hi
I've been told that CB Performance have very high freight prices, I needed some Dellorto jets, 16 jets for $20 in freight which I think is
reasonable.

Here's my 2 cents
Wolfsburg in Vic. Gary is a top bloke, great advice, great service. Parts are full price but who can blame them?
Mick Motors- great range, good advice and typically the lowest price. Posts quickly.
Aus VW Performance Centre in Vic - good advice and service - but don't always have the range. My preferred over the counter supplier.
Eastern Suburbs Engineering - got onto them via this site and have bought a full set of Autostick running gear and acessories. Coordinating transaxle
delivery by courier was interesting! Peter from there is great and seems to have every second hand part under the sun.
From the USA, I have bough from cip1.com and airheadparts.com. Both good and well priced, great range, but then you take it in the exhaust pipe in
shipping charges. Parts arrived within 2 weeks in both cases.
Hi
I just got a freight quote from CB for a CB Performance Quick Tune EFI Kit, about $400, seems OK.
Steve
I have found the usual great support from our local dealers and would prefer to support them where I can. Over the years as I have travelled around Australia, all the names and businesses mentioned have been good. I have recently had some excellent service from ISP WEST California, they traced some good quality second hand parts not available here in Australia.
Don't forget the big ones such as Scat or Gex. I haven't had any dealing with Gex but Scat has a huge following in the V8 circles, their VW stuff is just as good quality wise, in my opinion.
avoid gex mate, just go on one of the american forums and search for them nothing but bad stories.
I saw no mention of vw parts.net anybody had dealings with them.
Hey guys Ive ordered twice fro CVD with no luck my parts have never arrived once 12 months ago. and I thought I would give them another chance 3 weeks
ago . Just Kampers AU are the best delivered to Bris in 2 days . best website best service good prices . Das Resto Parts Awsome best panels around
Klassic Fab gear. only new but Kicking goals Great Job .
Mick motors and southside veedub all good in brisbane Great advice you get what you pay for . Check items some German some cheap.
