Here's Red Herrings awning sign in Hobart
that looks too good, someone should be driving it. especially in a seaside location exposed to the elements, it won't look that way for long.
The Kombi has no engine gearbox or front beam, but it has raised the popularity of kombi's here abouts.
there's one in a shopping center near my place, but they've gone further and cut the floor out of the middle so customers can walk through.
it makes me crook in the guts, the thing appears to be other ways sound.
anyone who's bought a bus recently would agree that a bus with no rust is virtually impossible to find, beams gearboxes and even engines on the
other hand are relatively plentiful.
i hope its body is 99% built with bog and its just carefully shaped to look like a kombi. else the locals should reclaim it one dark night.
Shame!!!
There's a similar thing happening in Melbourne at the moment. The new 'Beetle Bar at 445 (or was it 448?) High St Northcote will feature half a Beetle as its feature sign up top. There's also one on Springvale Rd around Blackburn area, above an auto parts shop.:o
