Im going up to gatton on tuseday to have a lok at my 59 shell so ile find some of taht stuff out, no he does not have it anymore he just sold all of his vw stuff the other day its a real pity:cry he got out of it because his son who was really into vws left the country, hr built the 2ltr im gonna use in my beetle ile post a pic of a "mini tank" he made for his son's birthday its made out of old vw bits like the engine

if he was in Africa then he probably has a kubelwagen or a big mercedes like you see Rommel riding around in in old photos...but i might be wrong
