It is amazing and how much trouble people go to if they can't afford the real thing as kombis are pricey in Japan I'd say.

We had these here a week or so back. Could never find anything out about them

Where they are sold, how much, name of etc.

I don't mind them for a new car that is, and I'm not big on new cars. I'd like to see one for real to decide.

I went to Japan earlier this year and never saw any of these on the road but what I did see was a number of magazines dedicated to these funny little vans. I think they are a toyota. They did all sorts of crazy things to them including some rat look ones with airbrushed rust. One night my girlfriend and I spent 2 hours in a giant newsagency looking at all the mags even though neither of us could read a word of japanese. I bought a few check out
