65 bug with a 426 HEMI:bounce
TORQUE IS EVERYTHING
Sorry:puke
There was one in volksworld (feb ’02). the thing I find funny is that a v8 powered beetle is not faster than any good aircooled one. This 6.1 litre 450 bph monster ran mid 12’s, a 2+ litre bug will do that. That leaves just one question… why?
Because now it has to heat all that water, push all that weight, carry those beefed up breaks and press heavier on the road.
Sure you would think it would go faster and with tweeking it probably would, but for me, I'm with Jen. The one at the All VW Forum didn't
impress me although I too give points for pushing the envelope.

i was hoping for logical reasons why one may do it, such as maybe pulling tree stumps or a plough.:P
also, that motor was tweaked. 450ponies from a 357ci with no computers or blower is pretty good.
i guess you could (relatively) safely double it with OzNOS though, but not on the streets.
