Looks like the splitty front window section has been removed to make a central divider for another oval to split screen beetle conversion!!

noooo! so sad:( and count the number of poor multi-window busses:(

Quick! Get John James on the blower. We'll make a fortune. Or are they too "rooted"?

baybuscamperkid - January 2nd, 2004 at 08:27 PM

nah 65busser, their still salveagable! i can still see the bottem edge of the doors of the splitties, which is more then can be said for many european restos!:D (no offence meant, credit to the people who tackle such major rust restos over there)

Heres a very good lead for all forum users that I have been selfishly keeping to myself .
Cooma wrecking yard on the south coast near the snowies has splits ,ovals and lots n lots of beetles, I think there may still be a Karmen there if your lucky.
Last time I was there I picked up a W deck for $60 but I waited untill the young bloke who didnt have much of an idea was on his own.
That was a major score and probably a once only because hes up to date on prices ,But I heard he has been crushing a lot of stuff thats of no worth in anticipation of retirement so I would think that most will go in time .
Theres around 2-3000 cars on the property I just hope some of those are snaffled by guys who see their value, Cheers happy hunting
