How many hours were spent cleaning that!!!

Can't tell, but does it have a fanshroud? Maybe that's why it's so clean, you can't drive it far. :D

Apparently that car cost 300K to build :o
The dude used to build and show rods, but got sick of the scene so wanted to build something that would blow them away but not be a domestic brand. So he built this ghia.:thumb
Apparently it's sitting in a yard somewhere in Bakersfield:jesus

it's got a few nice touches, and that engine looks really impressive!
but overall i think it looks pretty bad.....
i could think of better things to do with 300k.

True, but it was done in the 80's with what was needed to win shows. And thats what it did wiped the custom/rod show circuit.
I think if I was going to burn 300K on a car I'd buy a Porsche GT2. Or get a BoxsterS and an E55 AMG.
