I love 356s, wish i could own one. But the one above is just like any modern retro it looks too new. It might look cool but it is no where near as good as the originals. What i want to know is what is beneath the boot.

Looks sweet doesn't it. I believe that this may be watercooled (Subi). There is a flared Speedster on ebay.com.au at the moment in syd. Will this post stay this time?

I was at the Motor Show yesterday, and i found some of these. They are RC Speedsters apparently with turbocharged WRX engines in them. Although you can specify what you want pretty much, and prices start at 75k. Not bad when stock immaculate rebuilt 356 cost about 30k more.
