Its said to be a form of Karmann ghia:o

I think i have some info on it. Think it is a Karmann coachbuilt.

"In 1972, Karmann-Ghia do Brasil Ltda. starts the series production of the Volkswagen SP-2. To keep costs low, as many components as possible of other Volkswagen models are integrated. The SP-2 is a sports-car with a rear engine, based on the Volkswagen Type 3. Due to the body weight of 900 kg, the original engine with 54 hp is replaced by the boxer engine of the Volkswagen 411/412 with 65 PS later."
