check this out.. notice how theres no air vents below the windo and its sucked in through the boot...

would that get enough air into in it. i mean sure it looks good but if it's working on negative pressure im not sure that it would that effective. if those scoops were up the other way it might work better.

or do you mean there are pipes that run from the boot to thew back ( as its in the front) and that the rear holes are breather holes ?

The vents would only let air out and actually would be there to provide clearance for the carbs....

Air would be ducted in from elsewhere.

VW design of the air vent is briliant so why change it , it lets air in and any water is drained away around the sides.
