decked dubby - August 30th, 2002 at 04:22 PM

Looks like the finished product of a previous photo shown here.

And another shot

70AutoStik - August 31st, 2002 at 01:24 AM

Really like the chassis, shame about the toy motor. Do you think I could get rego if I put a real (VW) engine in it?

baybuscamperkid - August 31st, 2002 at 08:56 PM

It's had a few live by the looks. I do remember seeing this one on the forum or somewhere a while ago with some other rod pics. I don't normally like Green but that billiard colour is very deep and look soft.

Have never seen a VW Rodder on NSW or Qld Streets. Would be interested in if it can be done in Oz.

haugmichael - November 16th, 2002 at 02:45 AM

KruizinKombi - December 18th, 2002 at 09:51 PM

Hmmm, I can't say I like the straight lines in the bodywork of something as curvy as a bug, but otherwise they are ultra-cool. :thumb

last celtic warrior - December 21st, 2002 at 07:31 AM

I do hope he removed all the rubber mountings and solid mounted the engine on the "green machine". Otherwise it'd shake the carbs clean off the top of the super charger on takeoff (look at the actual height from crank to ram tubes).

HotRodMatt - December 21st, 2002 at 08:37 AM

alldak...

which dude from Flat Four?

There's two of us building rods.

Matt

alldak - December 22nd, 2002 at 03:56 PM

i did not know that i think its matt ,if you took pics of my 2 tone 74 bay (tymles) with the sc and the raised bus after the nationals 2002 its you . i thought it sounded a little bit how you going after seeing what this guy in the uk did ,it was called 'stink bug', it was in a volks world issue that looked well i didnt like it, but the ones in these pics are absolutly awsome.
i also think that this car rocks

HotRodMatt - December 22nd, 2002 at 07:09 PM

Yep I took those pics.

The pic u attached is Jeff's car. Love that one too! He's actually scored a T3 ghia and that's prolly gonna go the way of the rod too!

I'm getting serious with mine now. Hopefully will be well and truly underway in the coming weeks.

Matt

Yeah... and noe of them are adverse to a bit of cutting.

Really they are great guys and it's a great forum.

Hopefully in a few years we might see a shift here in Oz and be able to have a section here for those of us who like kustomz.

Matt

vdub2c - January 15th, 2003 at 08:56 AM

man i have tastes just as others do.. i have wierd and wonderful ideas and i'll do them whether it requires cutting or not.. some may not like it but others do...

the only time i won't rip a car to shreds for that "kustom" look is if it's a rare sun-of-a-bug.. other wise it's, where's that grinder got to... and you'll all see what i'm talking about at bulli and the NAts ;)

Kool Kustom here we come ;)
