VOLX - September 19th, 2004 at 07:00 PM

I got broken up just a tad. Have smashed my entire shoulder collarbone in 3 places, broken rib, had stitches up the back of my head, battered and brusied in most places, but the drugs are reallllllly good. Hey I think you're the guy who gave me Greg Cash's number and my wife met him at the weekend in Tassie. She brought me back a really nice starting point for the new VOLX. Didn't get it from Cahy though.....Linus

VOLX - September 19th, 2004 at 07:03 PM

It's a darn good starting point and much I can salvage off the black VOLX will go onto this one.

VolksFolks - September 19th, 2004 at 07:25 PM

billholmes - September 19th, 2004 at 07:29 PM

hey volx.
did you buy that car in Ravenswood Launceston Tasmania?

VOLX - September 19th, 2004 at 07:50 PM

The accident happened here in VIC. And yep my wife got it from Damien in Ravenswood. A top bloke so Karin tells me. The car is in mint nick but I have many modifications to get it back to near what my old black VOLX was.

VOLX - September 19th, 2004 at 07:50 PM

Do you know Damien or the car?

boersch - September 19th, 2004 at 08:39 PM

ouch mate.
i swear i saw that the other weekend at imported??
if so, that's really bad luck... the car looked beautiful even when mangled

VOLX - September 19th, 2004 at 09:22 PM

Yep she is sitting down at Mark's Imported Car Wreckers in Springvale. Just waiting for me to strip everything I can off it and start putting the new one together again. This one I'd like to paint really dark midnight blue. Mark wants to make a "rat" out of it. I've got some really nice integra seats to go in and I'll re use most of my old interior as well because I really like the black and grey that I had....cheers...Linus:beer

mscabrio - September 21st, 2004 at 08:06 AM

Oh my goodness , that looks nasty ! I am glad that you are OK !!!!!!

I almost had the bonnet of a commodore sitting in my back seat this morning

blutopless2 - September 22nd, 2004 at 07:37 AM

sorry to see your car like that... have seen it up close (before the prang) was very nice ... good luck with the new project.

VWFREAK - September 22nd, 2004 at 11:28 AM

That was one sweet ride. I bet the accident wasn't even your fault. I've been there and feel your pain.

New ride looks like a great starting point.:o

aggri1 - September 23rd, 2004 at 08:08 AM

Oh that's sad. Weren't you at the VW Jamboree earlier this year? Hope you can salvage heaps of stuff. And that the insurance stuff goes smoothly.

All the best for recovery mate.

VOLX - September 23rd, 2004 at 10:57 PM

yep! It was my fault as I just didn't see the *sucker* pull out from behind a pack of cars turning into a side street off Springvale road. The impact pushed me sideways about 15-20 metres down Springvale road. And yes I was at the jamboree along with my daughters Red & White "64. hers is a beautiful resto too and looks quite sedate on the outside but is nice and beefy for her. She's a bloody maniac at 18 like most of them. I'm still off work and will be for a while yet. Thank God for Shannons insurance and they have been fantastic so far. This is a pic of my daughters set of wheels.

Chewy - September 24th, 2004 at 11:11 AM

Thats horrible! good to see your still OK.
How fast was the other car going???

VOLX - September 24th, 2004 at 08:31 PM

The cops reckon 80 klm but that's because it was an 80 klm zone. Ambo's said it must have been much faster to push me along the road so far. I'm healing up well and hopefully can go back to work in another week or so. Bloody boring at home and all I'm doing is surfing the net and finding all sorts of goodies to buy for my new project.

billholmes - September 25th, 2004 at 03:05 PM

I know the car by the way.

billholmes - September 25th, 2004 at 03:07 PM

Poor bug. It looked like a beast
What was the other car that hit you?

VOLX - September 25th, 2004 at 03:58 PM

It was a Ford Festiva and the two people got out and were fine thank goodness. Do you mean you know my ex-car or my new project from Launceston?
