After owning a vert for 2 1/2 years, there is no feeling quite like it. Just cant stand the hack job verts.

That there is the 8th oldest ever Vert, And from what the owner says, it has matching numbers. So IMHO its worth every cent....Doesnt mean I can
afford it, Unfortunately.

George at Classic Veedub in Sydney has two LHD early verts for sale. One is a 58 and the other a 62 I think.

He want too much for them.....I would rather buy a basket case from the US, as I will basically do everything anyway. I woud have bought one already,
but Im STILL looking for a good enouogh house, so all money is going toward that at the moment. AS soon as the right house comes up, Im borrowing a
little extra!

What the 75k.
Unity-28 - October 18th, 2004 at 12:21 PM
Of course......
NOT! An early shape vert is what i was talking about, but not that early. That would be a second mortgage.

There was a cool RHD '55 vert turn up at the Spring Jamboree over here in NZ on Sunday, it parked next to a '61.
They would be great for summer cruisin'
The blue one ran polished empi5's and the earlier brown one had BRM's.

I wonder what a coachbuilder could build for 75k???
a daily driver unity?

An early Right Hand Drive Karmann Cabriolet is still rare in most places...
even in the UK as the salt still eats them away.... bit by bit..
was looking at a website the other day where a young fellow bought his first Beetle [1969 model?] and it looked choice but when He took the guards
off... there was rust everywhere....
Unity-28 - October 18th, 2004 at 07:19 PM
I couldnt care less if it were RHD or LHD!
pyr0 - October 19th, 2004 at 12:42 PM
