check your item size is under 50k and you have attatched the doc using the browes bar below to locate your image.

Can anyone tell me, in words of few syllables, how I go about getting a URL for a photo that I have on my computer ?

you have to host it online first, try typing imageshack into google, and host it with them....they will give you a bit of text to paste into the type box here and it will come up by itself then ;)
