baybuscamperkid - April 3rd, 2005 at 10:37 AM

thats some pretty fair fake rust they have sprayed on there

pod - April 3rd, 2005 at 10:46 AM

red oxide goes a long way:P
thats one kick-arse motor:thumb

sean68 - April 3rd, 2005 at 07:06 PM

Thats not a bad idea for an intercooler :duh
was sort of wondering how to do something like that without resorting to a porsche whaletail decklid

:cry :cry :cry :cry :cry

Fossil - April 4th, 2005 at 03:19 PM

yeah handful of rat

bajachris88 - April 16th, 2005 at 09:11 AM

I tell ya, from an artistic perspective, that looks amazingly creative.

Sh1t bomb body, and the shiniest, crome and fresh running gear, mags and interior.

NICE CONTRADICTION, really works well.

bajachris88 - April 26th, 2005 at 05:42 PM

is that a radiator sitting on the back of it?

Must have a scooby doo engine or something. (Scooby doo = subaru, u get me drift)

Robo - April 26th, 2005 at 05:50 PM

What the!
Rob...

bajachris88 - April 26th, 2005 at 05:52 PM

U know, the thing on the back of the bug, where its horizontal (rather than vertical) with pipes and crap going to it.

(Looks a bit more of an actual running component than a rear spoiler, so my guess is that it is a radiator)

Rob...

bugboymatt - April 26th, 2005 at 06:33 PM

Looks great :)

bajachris88 - April 26th, 2005 at 08:36 PM

Could you place a radiator horizontal like that? (even on a buggy?)

BLUE_62 - April 27th, 2005 at 04:50 AM

i would suggest not as to have a radiator work sucessfully you need it to flow hot water from one end to the other, sittin on its back like that would possible create poor water flow and also it is getting all the heat rising off the motor. Would be as efficient as a top mount intercooler on a subaru or starlet gt. Front mount much more efficient.......... then again, what do i know. I drive 2 naturally asparated cars to which one is not even water cooled.... :duh

thats my 2 cents worth. :thumb

As for fibreglass.. our luck, shes a fair dinkim metal one. DOH!

BLUE_62 - April 27th, 2005 at 04:52 AM

Just noticed the turbosmart sticker on the end of the intercooler tank, kinda gives it away, definate cooler as opposed to radiator.

here's the rad. in my Kombi.
not exactly horizontal, and has a big thermo fan on the back.

vwrx - April 27th, 2005 at 10:31 PM

Yea, thats gotta have some sorta motor in it allrite!

bajachris88 - April 28th, 2005 at 05:19 PM

Thats a pretty cool pic. Never saw a radiator in that pose before. hmm, interesting.

Would it be legal to have a running part like a radiater sitting out of your car in the same position as the intercooler (that we worked out) on the rat?

You could easily burn yourself if u lean on it or have some stupid kid open it up when its hot.

killakornkobb - April 28th, 2005 at 09:54 PM

tooooo phat!

MikeM - April 28th, 2005 at 09:57 PM

It's cool, but I don't like what they've done with the engine cover.

BiX - May 2nd, 2005 at 02:58 PM

nice very nice.

Fossil - May 5th, 2005 at 12:53 PM

but what about the plumbing hanging out

Doug Sweetman - May 5th, 2005 at 01:06 PM

I agree - it looks the biz, but I'd have liked to see a carbon fibre or fibreglass decklid cut instead of the original w.

Still they did make over half a million ovals I guess......
