There was a wooden VW at Darling Harbour the othe day. Well - laminate.

A mate went to a trade show and there was a stand that has a new way of laminating and to prove the point they laminated a VW.

I will get the pic he took and post next week

There was a show on SBS about a year ago where the presenter travelled around the world speaking to all sorts of unusual artists.

This guy worked almost entirely with wood as previously mentioned. The pieces that this guy and his workers made were absolutely stunning.... people, coats on coatstands, all sorts of everyday objects and of course this beetle. Is is driveable on the road as well as being quite capable in the water.

I was very impressed with his work.
