Cool. Look at the stress marks on the rear tyre of that split!
They aren't stress marks.
That's how you want your tyres to load up at launch. As forward motion begins they spring back and help to overcome inertia.
That's why slicks have low pressures.

Also helps to reduce the initial impact stress on the driveline - they act as a bit of a cushion to slow the massive initial torque transfer.
Yeah that's why I run the tyres on my 36hp half flat too. Tyre shredding monster 'tis
