p.s. after all the absolutely atrocious spelling i have seen on this forum, that is the first time I have ever seen a mistake pointed out.

H = Hamburg F could mean Flensburg so is regoed in Nth Germany.
Reise = travel mit =with ....say no more

oh yes the timber looks like Cherry Wood and wood (ha Ha ) be treared against prevalent wet weather.

My unc used to live there and had one of these when he lived around Stuttgart when i was a kid 19 yrs ago!!
