What Fine costs $2350 in NSW ??? YIKES**********
68AutoBug - June 12th, 2006 at 05:11 PM

I'm never going to drive when the school buses are about.... again....

as the fine for overtaking a School bus at more than 45 kms/hour.... is $2350...

I believe the bus lights would have to be flashing, and when the bus is offloading/onloading kids...

but $2350.... now that is a fine....

Leading a dog while riding a bike is a $50 Fine in NSW...

Driving on the footpath is $225 Fine... NSW

Using a horn unnecessarily is $225 Fine.... NSW

Using a Radar detecter is $1175...Fine.... NSW

a mate was booked for being drunk behind the wheel years ago in a bondi carpark.
he was asleep in the front seat late at night but
because the keys were in the ignition he was gone.

That is so wrong. keys in the ignition. The copper must have been short of his quota for the night.

I nearly got cleaned up by a cop who was on his phone coming out of a shop when i was on my mountain bike, i gave it to him too, i just went off. He wound down the window and said whats your problem, you ya fat bastard i said. He then asked for my details i told him to stick it, was the fastest i have ever rode that bike. He is probably still lookin for me.

fekkinell - June 14th, 2006 at 11:42 AM

i yelled at a cop once for being a prick... he asked for my details and i said "swap ya for them... gimme your badge number, rank and station"... not surprisingly he wouldn't give up his details cos he knew he was in the wrong! :thumb

Only time I've ever been done was for speeding. The cop said he saw me backing off down from over 100kph, but only got a lock on at 96kph. He let me off on "under 15kph over" after we got talking about my buggy I was building. I was driving a Volvo that time, trying my best to outrun the reputation those things have for being slow...

Been pulled over in my old Peugeot several times for roadside checks and always been told it's one of the better cars they pulled over that day. Comment from a cop in Tassie, and this is a true quote, "Ya wouldn't know it to look at it, but it's about the best we've pulled over so far".

All that asside, I hate most cops. Been harassed and threatened by a few in my time, quite severely too. One I scored on was a couple years back, going around a roundabout, cop pulled in front of me thinking I'd stop for him because he was in a police car and all. He was wrong, very wrong. Didn't hit him, but tried, and succeeded in forcing him into the curb, causing him damage to a wheel and tyre. Shoulda seen the look on his face, and his co-driver. They went white.

Another cop I saw yakking on the phone while driving in Brissie, I was alongside him, so I blasted the horn for a few seconds. He had trouble hearing even after I stopped, as my car had 2 Mazda truck horns and tripple air horns right behind the grill. That thing used to sound like 2 frieght trains at once.

Last fine I got though, was in Brissie, round behind the museum/art gallery in an unsigned area. Was booked for parking longer that 2 hours. Creatins.

I was in the police car in Qld with my uncle a while ago and was giving him shit for talking on his phone while driving and as much as i hate it, he said that cops are allowed to use mobiles phones while driving cos they are considered the same as using a radio.

i think its completely hypocritical personally and continued to give him shit for talking on his phone :P

Got done back in britain when I was about 18, I had a VW passat with the 5cyl audi quattro (non turbo) engine with a few wee mods head, cam..., going up to a hillclimb, pulled on to a new stretch of motorway at 6am and booted it, the only other car on the whole bloody road was an unmarked cop car! Theywere not to bad though eventhough I was doing about 130mph (foot welded to floor, it was not stock!) in a 70mph limit they let me off with a 40ukp fine and three points. Anything over 100mph should be instant ban...
The trafic cop did say they just let me go at first to see just how fast I was going to go. Sods

I worked as a chef for a RSL just casually, and the mini bus driver was takin people a group of people into the city and someone lit up a joint, he stopped and said you can't do that on the bus, a cop was on the bus and went up to him and flashed her badge and said it was cool, the bus driver was a pot smoker too, but he did the right thing and kicked the cop and everyone off the bus.
