thought this was a pretty cool mod for a new beetle, standard steel wheels pop rivited with clips and 70s flat hubcaps fitted...
very cool
I know Ollie - he does some of the mods for my friend BJ's car. She and Ollie are using old Type 3 scripts for their boot.
Now thats cute!
love the hubcaps, but why a bus automatic badge on the back? surely there's better looking badges around. better yet then those mods tho, why
not BUY AN OLD BUG if thats what you want
just my 2c
looks very kool kinda retro love the badge idea too
Next mods could include white walls, fender spats, slammed, and a woodie rack.
Squiz.....
Vwfool, Vanderaj,
Any idea of what clips they used for the hub caps? I have used early beetle ones to hold those hub caps on my Merc rims (on a bay Kombi).
They aren't a good fit though. Some better clips would be nice!
Thanks,
Andy
I'll get Ollie to give me the entire details.
Andrew
Great stuff Andrew!!
Those hubcaps look good on a New Beetle, better than NB hubcaps on an old Beetle in my opinion. I just love chrome that's all.
The badge is not my cup of tea though.
It doesn't look in proportion. If the letters were slanted the right way it would look better.
I have edited this and decided after looking again the badge is not too bad it does have some slant on the letters. Amazing how things can grow on
you.

I just like seeing those with original ideas:thumb
Hey Andrew,
Any info on the clips yet?
:beer
Why don't they put an Air-cooled engine in the boot, battery under the back seat, spare wheel in the engine bay, and get some tiny wipers...
Oh yeah, and a swing Axle rear end with cross-ply tyres. Get it handling like it should.
That is way COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
