that is incredible i wonder where it has been all the years since, my dad had one and all4 of us used to sit on front seat, my mum near passenger door then my brother in middle dad driving and me(littlest) on his right next to drivers door all prior to seat belt laws of course, seeing that is unreal.

I saw this in person and it looked pretty tight. Lots to drool over, mostly early Porsches and Aston Martins.

68AutoBug - June 30th, 2008 at 11:57 PM

WOW

worth its weight in gold...

these were PMG kombi vans

Post master general = PMG

and NOT used for mail delivery etc..

but for telephone repairs ...

as the post office had Morse code keys for telegrams
then Telex machines then telephones...

the old days.... not the good old days...??

i have a 67 pmg bus, it was blue with angora goat stud writng on it when i got it years ago from harding european, scraped all the paint off with a razor blade to find the original red and writing underneath it, fixed most of the rust, doesnt look as good as the other one though:)

Type3Sicko - August 8th, 2008 at 07:35 AM

good ole classic throttle shop... i went in a few years ago and walked out slightly deflated by the prices...needless to say if you have to ask how much... still, it's good to see they aren't all rusting away on peoples farms or used as boat anchors.

would look great in mt garage . oh i just need to built one of those first . wont last long i would think ...

Guy_H - September 4th, 2008 at 01:36 PM

That was my old bus - I bought it from Steve Muller & it came from Andrew out of SA before that. I sold it to an A-Hole in VIC who was supposed to give me first option back at it (I gave him 12 months to pay for it too) - but he got greedy & sold it to the classic throttle shop.

LIFE IN THE LOW LANE - October 1st, 2008 at 01:10 PM

42500K is a bit steep! I know it is a good honest bus and saw it in the flesh when Guy owned it but that is a bit too much. someone with too much money will buy it though.

myvintageroom - November 17th, 2008 at 03:26 PM

Well I should have bought it when I had the chance!
