Relocated valves

I've heard of relocating valves for more performance, but not like this !!!

Over the years I have seen quite a few like that and some that make a new hole in the crankcase to exit,customers still ask why you want to replace the exhaust valves instesad of lapping them.

Yeah I know what you mean Grumble, the 356 engine I'm doing was rebuilt only 5000miles ago and has original valves and loose guides....DOH.

The one in the pic is inlet valve type IV, due to valve spring breaking while on the highway near here.

I could see that it was a rebuilt head from the stampings,shame isn't it.This is one of the reasons why i stopped using rebuilt heads.
