not how i would have it each to their own I guess?
bitemeoz - October 12th, 2011 at 12:35 PM
lets see a photo of yours vlad and we can compare
vlad01 - October 12th, 2011 at 08:33 PM
This is sort of how I would have it minus the roof rack and about an inch higher and not so much bling
Mine is partially stripped and sitting on blocks at the front atm so ain't much to look at. Bit of an irrelevant comparison don't ya think?
naylor_james - October 12th, 2011 at 09:08 PM
They are both nice.... Each one gas a different purpose though and are both great at serving that purpose... There's value in both im sure everyone
can agree on that.. vlad u say this is a type 1 beam conversion.. Is
there any more info you can offer me about it or at least point me in te right direction?? I've been trying for donkeys years to get info ok getting
a narrowed beam to no avail. Any advice would be appreciated!!

try the type 3 section on the samba, that topic is a beaten horse that died long ago.
Don't start a new thread, you will get flamed for it, just search and you will find heaps of threads about them. The samba classifieds have them for
sale.
If you do a conversion can I have your old beam can never have too
many spares

bitemeoz - October 14th, 2011 at 09:08 PM

esevwbits - October 15th, 2011 at 08:12 AM
the original white one at the top looks fantastic.
those radars work very well on it.
Vlad, like you said each to their own. i know i wouldn't be caught dead in a purple notchy.

id roll a late purple notch any day, rare color to boot
notchpan - October 25th, 2011 at 06:19 PM
Sorry I'm late... the beam is type 1 with willwood discs..Raw auto works do this type of work. Ps..nice black notch
vlad01 - October 26th, 2011 at 11:10 AM
how did you legally get that on the road with willwood calipers? and the type 1 beam for the matter of fact?
notchpan - October 26th, 2011 at 04:08 PM
Tt is about 6 inch narrowed king and link pin beam 2.5 inch dropped spindles . I have also put short axles in the rear now .
vlad01 - October 26th, 2011 at 07:48 PM
hhmmm? don't be going to a roadworthy then or going around a
roundabout more than 5km/h lmao.
How much worse does it handle over the stock setup may I ask?

ridiculous statement
5lam - November 1st, 2011 at 02:24 PM
Why does everyone assume they handle worse just because the suspension isn't stock??
Back on topic - Thats a great looking Notch! Damn I love those wheels
