Well it's about time I get some pics up of my notch.got it a few months ago from empi.it is a 1965 1500s.leaving Melbourne.bye bye Adam..
Will post more pics soon.as my other pics won't load up.to big dammmmm.
Got it home.cleaned and painted the wheels and added white walls
And got rego.then lowered it more.
But more.
More.
And what's having a old vw without rust repaired
But wait there's more.
Good repairs , but why didn't you just join some of the multi patch areas all into one bigger area , as no dought those little spaces left will be
back to haunt you later .
PS Were you at leon's this morning with your kids as my wife said she was talking to someone outside with a slammed type 3
yeh that was me..didnt want to do the whole lot as one repaire as the rest of the metal was really good..the shape on that section is a bitch .
The repaires between the rear wheel area into the engine bay.the repaire was next to the carbys.
cool to see this notch again, hope you have fun with it
Cool as!
Thanks guys.Yeh I'm lovein it.few more things I want for it and I'm good.need pop outs, full metal visor, chrome trim for the rear window.wouldn't mind a narrowed front beam.just finished rebuilding the carbys last night made two good ones out of four.
Gave her a clean today ready for me to ankor wax next week.took the racks off to clean the roof.looked very bare without them.
Are you ankor waxing the outside paint ?
Yeh mate I will be.

Ok.most of the paint on the car is really thin and some even bare metal.hard to see in the pics but this thing is very ratty.not sure what else to do to protect it as I like it how it is.even the rusty bits.
Looks the goods. I like it.... rattier the better I say.
Same as my 62 beetle it has exposed metal very thin og paint and i like it as well. What i did was painted rust converter (with small paint brush) on exposed metal to stop it from going any further. Left dry for a day, and do its magic then treat those spots with ankor wax (with small brush) and not the paint. With the paint i gave it a good wash and then gave it good paint cleaner then a good quaility canubra wax (mothers brand) all done lightly by hand. Came up a treat and not shiny at all like a new car. the paint just looks more alive and not dry. I was all for ankor waxing all of my bug until i got the split. were the split still has nice paint the ankor wax has really spoiled it and goes to more of a lacquer type sheen to it. I like what the ankor wax has done to the roof, but the splits roof is full on surface rust no colour at all which i think ankor wax is perfect for. Mate if that is og paint don't ankor wax it just give that paint some quality time!
Riteo.mate thanks for the advice il see how I go with normal wax.thank you.
