Hey All,
Thought I better put a thread on here for you guys.
Some of you might know that I bought Pats 63 Samba off him after the crash, he was happy to sell to me as he gets to watch I come back to life and
enjoy it again (AS A PASSENGER!!!) once she is back on the road.
Anyway I started working on it in the last few weeks, and its coming along.
I started by stripping the rear pas corner, short side, wheel tub and part of the upper engine floor.
After that with a heap of bashing, pulling and straightening I managed to get the rear square again with good tailgate and engine lid gaps.
nice and bent in here
so I cut it all out
managed to beat the inner corner window section back into shape
welded the upper engine floor and tub back in
now she is on the rotisserie, started removing the belly pans today and it looks pretty good in there. just needs front outriggers and jacking points
only.
also picked up a doner nipple front today complete with dash and A pillars
this is what im after minus the overriders
Good work Bob. You will bring it back to life.
Good on ya neighbour
And cargo doors on the other side with steering wheel on the right side too.
Ok that also and minus a vent on each side etc
Glad it wasn't the end of her! The planned finished Samba looks awesome
