Ok, here is the starting point.
Interior need complete upgrade.
Anyone know if you can get aftermarket covers for that seat and is it ADR compliant?
Got to love a rust free body with very few dents and long periods in dry storage.
Carpet, hood lining, door cards, seat covers etc all ordered and awaiting its arrival.
Note the Jeremy Clarkson tool kit laying on the floor!
Yes - I do believe Dairy Farmers still make a cover for them
Be careful you dont buy that no name rubbish from Coles
Rust free - you lucky B
Love a good curved screen super.
I have a 75 in Martini Olive
Your must be VERY late 74 as it has indicators on guards but 3 point seats
Third digit in chassis number is a 6 so I'm led to believe its a 76.
Got some ideas for the car but getting it blue slipped and regoed first will ease the RTA's views on safety
Dairy Farmers you say? My mate said Sydney Morning Herald??.
1976's were standards - not supers
What is the number stamped under the back seat near the gear box inspection hole 13? ??? ???
Could be a 75 with wrong front guards
75 had rack and pinion
73 and 74 had steering box
Where is that?
vin number
Found it buried under 5 mm of crud.

74 model it is
Bout a month after mine and it was the last of the twin rail seats, although weirdly mine had the plastic number plate light housing and yours is still metal
must people make the mistake of doing things/ changing stuff on a car, then trying and get the blue slip, we see it all the time.
Looked at Joel's build up with the sc12 and that is what I have in mind
at the moment. Comp plate states 11/74 build date. Have to use it for
transport for a little while so Rego, drive, find dual cab to tow boat then
start to play with bug some more.
Liking where this is going

As far as motor body trimmers go I make a sensational boiler maker.
Not too bad for a first try, lucky I'm not going down the show car route though, few rookie errors.

Back piece in as a temporary measure. Will place it better after hood lining goes in
when you have the hoodlining out pour Penotrol down the lip that the hood lining clips to
This will help stop the rust in the rain channels
A lot of the time it is from the inside caused by condensation and gets trapped there
Will do, thanks for the tip
Finally after a little spinal surgery and lounge time to recover I made a little progress tonight.
After waiting for ever for parts I decided to take a change in upholstery colour which will now guide the exterior colour also.
Again, I am no upholsterer.
New seat colour
Got window regulator fitted, window back in, inside door handle fixed and door trim fitted
After looking at that seat a few more times, I might get a real life upholsterer to pad that seat up a bit to fill the cover a bit better. It kind of looks like it has been through the Biggest Loser TV show
