After Selling the Bug 2 weeks ago, I picked up my 1st Type 3 – An Automatic ’69 Square. Loving it so far, just trying to figure out what I should
do first. Perhaps proper white wall tyres…mmm…
More updates to come...

Nice car zoofish, I like the pinstriping too.
Can you or anybody tell me where you get those "gutter feelers" that are on your car in the "PHAT VW" picture. I bought some for my dad many years
ago and he always thought they were great.
Thanks, Rob.
Thanks for the comments - appreciate it. Kev, trying to figure out what to do first, but also trying to not go down the same path as the Bug. Will try
to keep as much of the original paint as possible for the moment but some of it is heavily cracked and blistering off in one or two places. But first,
fixing the panel alignment issues and refreshing the interior and then probably drive it around a bit before deciding what to do next.
Otherwise I know that I'll end up going down a colour change path and we all know how mind bending that is

Sneak peek at some changes being made...Chasing a different look
Ya tease! I think you borrowed those wheels from another ride in the paddock, if I am correct.
Looks sweet
Kev
Hi Camo, you'd think the wheels were from the Bug, but those wheels left the garage a year ago bolted onto a Bus.
After a long search, I grabbed the last set of these that I could find
Those wheels are cool, something different for sure. Well done.
Nice square...love it...
Time for some new power - A Chico Performance Racing 1835cc Thick Wall Turnkey engine setup for the Automatic Squareback.
awesome
Was it difficult to import the engine.....much hassle with customs and was it easy to deal with the supplier?

If can get any better... lovin' it
So we've started to wet sand through the various, blistered layers of paint to see what we have and if we repaint it or wax it and run it like this
for a while. Paint is smooth, but in places some of the panels have up to 6 different colors on them.
Starting to repaint the interior, door jams etc.
Next stop, trying to workout how to run a kickdown switch for the automatic box to run with dual webers...mmm...
going to be real sweet look forward to seeing it
As the car currently stands today, after an interior refresh. I'm contemplating swapping it for an Oval Window Bug OR taking it all apart and doing a
pan off restoration...mmm...
