Ken Virgins 1959 LHD Sweedish import
retroresto - March 19th, 2014 at 04:09 PM

Hi All,

Thought id share the latest project here. This car has got a bit of history around it. It was Ken's drive car back in the day, while the history is a little sketchy there have been many owners of the car over the years here in SA that can vouch for its authenticity.
Im looking to put the car back to its original state, with some "Old Speed" accessories such as 36 Okrasa based engine and pressed steel sprintstars. The paint was facotry Black so i'll be going back to the factory specs.
Here is the car so far, its a little daunting tothe untrained eye but i think it will live again. I'll keep you posted on the progress.

As you can see the front is missing as well as a fair few parts, the body and pan are matching so its a good start.

Cheers
Paul

Good on you Paul for taking on a big bit of SA VW history. Looking forward to updates. You'll have a army of beetles soon.

I might have bought another today but you'll have to wait and see.
