Hi All,
I'm new to veedubs, just bought the attached. Drove it home from Victoria last weekend and now have the interior out to protect the pan, etc.
I'm learning a bit from the forum, thanks.

Bill
Nice :thumb
Nice score, more pics please
What model Bill ? 1970 at a guess..
I love torsion bar beetles... very nice looker... looks like You picked a good one Bill... Now buy 4 litres or some spray cans of Fish oil & spray
pour it everywhere, & You won't get any rust where the fish oil goes... motorpro is a good brand. not too expensive either.. fish oil takes a
while to dry and runs everywhere... unreal stuff...
Best Wishes
Lee VW enthusiast since 1962
I now see I was correct... Bill,
its a 1970 standard torsion bar beetle... the Best...
in My opinion any way... I'm not a lover of super bugs..
Any problems, just ask...

Is that SNOW in the background on yr trip home ??
Guys,
Thanks for the compliments and offers of assistance, it's really appreciated.
I've just bought some Porsche wheels for it and will fit them on Saturday and take some more pics then.
For Dave - yes that is snow in the background on our drive home from Melbourne.
Bill
Guys,
here are some more pics of my bug.
Anyone got some good tips on wher I can get some centres for the rear wheels ?
Not too flash yet - just wait a couple of months and see how it changes.

PS.. I'm not a lover of Super Beetles but I
don't really hate them....
Beautiful Bill. Congratulations.
Mate, that beetle looks mad!!!
Steven
Very nice Bill
Where in Sydney are you??
As for caps - how far out does the axle bolt and centre cap stick out.
You can always get some custom turned aluminium caps and then put a Porsche or VW / Wolfsburg crest sticker on it.
What wheels are they - 4 bolt Fuchs??
Very nice. Different too!!
Lee - i will ignore your last comment :P
Bill,
I have a yellow coil and a yellow alternator pulley....
Our cars must be must be related !!!! LOL
originally My generator pulley was red and My Coil had a chromed cover but I have changed to an Alternator & a different coil for a High Energy
electronic ignition, both now yellow...
Schweeett......very nice.
I'm really enjoying looking at VW's, specially ones like this!:bounce
Guys,
Thanks for the nice comments.
I'm in the Camden area of Sydney.
I've now found some centrecaps for the wheels, at the moment they're 3 spoke knock-offs with Wolfsburg decals. Will do until I find
something better.
