Good on ya Jonno!
Another VW saved, nothing makes ya feel better than doing something yourself, and you just learned a whole lot of new skills.
Cant wait to see the finished car!
she is definately looking very good.
Well done....:thumb

lookin good jonno! my square is slowly getting to this stage & I'll be doing some painting myself too!
I notice that your rear apron has been cut. Did you do this yourself?? My apron is stuffed & I can't find one anywhere, I was thinking of cutting the bent bit off mine too.
Good Work!:thumb

yellow t3's are coool.
just dont park it near a busy intersection on a rainy night... sigh.
its amazing how freakin bright a yellow paint job can look when first done.. especially in the sunshine. i had a brief moment of "oh no, what have i done, its too bright" when we first finished mine, but then i thought, "nah, is bright is good".
good luck, be careful drivin her on your p's....

jonno-t3 - November 16th, 2003 at 06:06 PM

yeh thanks guys!:thumb...i will watch the car on the p's...i'm installing a battery cutt-off switch as well as an imobiliser...so no ones gettin away with it...and i am NEVER!! parking it on an intersection...after reading ur thread noonan...:(....not a good thing dude...
but yeh..my rear apron..lol funny name, but it was stuffed when i got the car...and my dad said rather than waste time mucking around with it..(my dads currently connecting his large angle grinder up and putting on goggles while sayin this too me..) he switch's it on...cuts along the seem...turns it off an says...it'll look much better like that..and it does!:bounce
it will also expose a lot of my new exhaust so yeh...be good...i did hoever add to it with about 4 layers of fibreglass and some bog and i rounded the corners off...just to make it...i dunno...cooler..lol

A nice ceramic coated exhaust would look the goods! I'll probably hack mine off too, luckily the damage is below the bumper, so it shouldnt look too obvious.
