Heres a few phot of my 61 bus (I think) That I just picked up from Narrandera. It is going to Indian automotive for some rust work in the new year.
Looks like a lot of work there!
But it is already pre-slammed and in the rat look already, so you wont have too much to do
Seriously, what are your plans?
Andrew
Awesome, dude! So good to see these things getting rescued
i spotted a couple of splitties out near narrandra as well last year good luck with it it looks like a 60- 61 model you can check the database from
the chassis number for a better history

yay another splitty saved! looks like u might have your work cut out for you on this one
cool mate how much did u pay for it?
I paid $300 for it. I plan restore the body and interior to original and upgrade the suspension and motor - IRS rear etc. Frenzixs post about the cost of resto work has me a bit concerned! Though I am prepared to a lot of the rust work myself while leaving the structural stuff to those in the know.
thats not bad and i love the kombi
whats it type of kombi is it??
don't know anything about kombi's
now im looking for 1 like it
mate good score. damn i didnt see that 20 years ago when i lived there.
good to see another on the mid north coast... will have to catch up when youre mobile with it. we have a few up this way.
have you picked it up yet? i've got my next 'splitty' project down at custom bugs and buses in penrith; rust work and mechanical...
should check him out if ya going the whole hog.:thumb
sweet as!! man, did u score or what?!! she's gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!! congratulations!!
Twoguns- the previous owner told me it sat around in the vw dealers yard until they went bust. Everything got auctioned off and nobody wanted the
splitty! The guy I bought it off was using it for a parts storage shed for his bug stuff and did not want it anymore. What model is your next
project?
Risky^VW- It is a 60 or 61 micro bus which means it was originally a 9 seater with full interior lining
Cheers Nicko
its amazing how they jsut keep popping up. must be that every one is keeping an eye out for 'em. look forward to seeing it come to life.
as for my new toy it is a 64/65 (awaiting for the chassis number to confirm) dual cab. can not wait.
I like that. Make sure u post pics of the resto. :thumb
