this is bus that i got 3 years ago for $250. it cost about the same in repairs to get it re-registered. i know - unbelievable. i no longer have the bull bars.
sorry continued
here are a couple of lineups
Nice work, just shows you dont have to spend a fortune to have a nice ride...:thumb
il try and put up some pics of the resto.
very nice work! i wish i could get mine on the road for that sorta money! next time i go VW shopping Im bringing you!
the lady that sold it just wanted to get rid of it and thought i was a nice guy. all it needed was a little rust cut out of the steps, 2 new tyres,
tie-rod end and new oil cooler o-rings. i was pretty stoked and it hasn't cost me too much since
Mate....that is a good find. Not that I'm jealous but my upholstery cost more than that!!!
Split busses are nice, very nice.
Although it is economically easier on the pocket to have a Curvy
window bus.
i'm wanting to re-do the interior. not a full $2000 resto, just to get it looking nice and feel comfortable. at the moment it has the middle row
of seats taken out. this is great as i dont get asked to drive a load to the beach and i can carry things in it.
I am hoping to line the floor with charcoal marine carpet, the front kickboard and around the front seats in black auto carpet, and cut out new panels
out of ply (the old oned have some holes and have warped badly) and cover them in black vynal.
i would appreciate any feedback or comments on what you have done or what you think i should do.:sandrine
good work astro, some people have all the luck and others dont. im one of the others and quiet frankly ready to give up.
keep on dubbing mate. it just means that a huge vw find is just around the corner for you... well lets hope so. what do you drive?
