my first splitty
rustybus - January 23rd, 2004 at 03:50 PM

here is my first vw splitty, picked it up last week for an absolute steal($500) as a resto project. The more i pull it apart the more bloody rust i find. It was sitting in a paddock in goulburn for a while, hence the reason it rusted, but should be a good thing buy the time i am finished.Tell me what you think or what youu know about it or any good ideas.!

e-mail as many pics as you want dude. I'll re-size them and post them for you, if you want?

*side note* I'll be going out in about an hour, won't be back on until sunday prob.

Depends on what program you use. If you're just using the standard "paint" program; go into "image" then "attributes" and you should be able to resize it from there (this is on windows XP).
Failing that, goto the "new members" part of the forum, they'll be able to help you better than I can.

make the size less than 50kb. usually 500 wide. and you should be larfin. my bus was 800 and it didnt show the rust but it certainly was there.

right click on pic, open with paint, click image, then click sketch and skew, horizontal = 30 vertical = 30, Should be about 6' x 3' on your screen, try that

Best Idea I can think of is to send PMGBUS
a u2u about his rust repair panels.
they fit and they're local.
make your rustoration a whole lot easier. :)
