My new '54 Project, bodys on the pan!
Menangler - March 29th, 2004 at 08:49 PM

I just can't help myself, I bought another project, this one is a '54 Beetle, all the dirty work has been done and it just requires assembly, or so I thought!!!

Here are a couple of pics of the finished pan, after I scrounged all the missing bolts, bought the correct tie rod ends and other various parts needed to assembled it.

What are your plans for it Dave?

Menangler - April 4th, 2004 at 09:43 PM

It will be standard body and inside will be close to standard.

Running gear is a late IRS pan "L" bug gearbox and not sure what engine yet, something that cruises well, twin carb something??

I have some early porsche Fuchs for it, but I was thinking of some 5 stud flat 4 sprintstars for it, but I am not sure they will fit under the rear guards with a 205 tyre like the Porsche wheels do.

It will be 4 sale when finished, hopefully by Nambucca
