Brad - April 5th, 2004 at 10:33 PM

Yes it is going on the road and will be fully street legal and engineered.

It has the following to name a little:
- Kombi transmission
- 4 wheel disc brakes
- twin rear shocks and long travel suspension
- custom 6 pt cage
- 2L type 4, with upright kit
- 16" offroad rims and tyres
- custom bucket seats
- custom bar work
- Cheetah Baja Kit
- Hundreds of hours of work.

It is all legal and there is no issues with internal cages and shock mounts. They actually have covers and caps but these are not fitted in the photos.

seagull - April 5th, 2004 at 10:59 PM

I am used to hundreds of hours work ,the trike gets lic this week yes ! it will blow you away !

bigbaja - April 7th, 2004 at 07:40 PM

ducky i am using front 225 75 16
back 265 75 16

more photos to come soon

Craig Torrens - April 7th, 2004 at 07:51 PM

where did you mount the rear shocks onto the trailing arms?

love the beast ;), look better driving over a metallic blue one !:thumb:thumb

Brad - April 8th, 2004 at 02:26 PM

Tyres are the new BFG mud pattern on my spare set of 16 x 8 and 16 x 6 custom offset rims.

Shocks are mounted onto of the trailing arms as per offroad race cars.

Front end is king and link, modified towers and bump stops, gussetted assemblies with sleeved oversized axles, machined beetle discs with soon to be holden callipers and tie rod ends. Pitman arm has beam splayed and reamed to take holden tie rods, box is early big nut with soon to have internal mods for strength.

Over all it is a pretty tough Baja and it will be good to watch it break as it tries to follow the buggies around :P

Brad - April 8th, 2004 at 02:27 PM

I could go on but Terry needs the typing practise more than I all though I could do to spell better :party

HeHeHe:P

bigbaja - April 12th, 2004 at 10:08 PM

hey
the list is just way tooo long for me to remember
as this car started as being a cheap QUICK baja conversion

it just grew and now has become more money hungry than the ex missis
but it should be fun to drive soon
terry

Brad - April 12th, 2004 at 10:12 PM

maybe more money hungry but at the end of the day you can push it into my damn and walk away and not have to worry about the cops .... now that is a cool setup.....

Baja should be getting its new loom in the next week or so then it will start ,stop and indicate......

Now I just need to get my new roof...... then we will see some progress.....

Anthiron - April 12th, 2004 at 10:18 PM

what are the regulations with having an internal full cage on a road registerd car? ......i thought it was deemed dangerous without a helmet on? how does it work?

Anthiron - April 13th, 2004 at 07:31 PM

bump

bigbaja - April 13th, 2004 at 09:05 PM

ducky - April 14th, 2004 at 09:46 PM
