moonlite6t6beetle - May 19th, 2004 at 06:42 PM

Well if anyone has followed my story of moonlite...
i have been into VW's for over 3 years now and been building one in particular... however this is my first ever licenced car.

Its a 1964 beetle with a 1800 motor in it. Its been sprayed in gunmetalgrey and i am awfully proud of it.

some pics...

(hope this works)

nice one!
when you say it has an 1800 in it, is it an 1835 type 1 engine? thats what i have

moonlite6t6beetle - May 21st, 2004 at 11:56 PM

nah from the person of who i originally bought the engine off he said he had a stock 1600 and ran an 1800 bore in it.

The colour hasnt been buffed yet... hopefully it should come up a little better, but i love it as it is

That probably means you have an 1835cc engine. Plenty of torque :) Especially with twin carbs

moonlite6t6beetle - May 24th, 2004 at 09:03 PM

The furure plans of this car is just to have an everyday driver in which i can cruise in... i am currently building another in which should be alittle more trick looking... but thisone is ideal for everything i need right now...

Futrure plans is to drop out the engine for a real good deatil... and possibly a respray, as i am not extremely satisfied with thte colour choice
