It was slammed until I put the 15'' rims on it. Managed to find some 4" rims which are on the front however the kumho's are like 4WD tyres. Going to go down another spline on the front. Might even go back to 14's yet.

Passed roadworthy yesterday so will be reg'd by the end of the week. Took it for a drive down the street. Drives nothing like a beetle and its so roooooomy.

No dramas there..however insurance different story
Rang RACQ who I have two other cars insured with and have had for many years.
They said that Type3's were only brought into the country from '71 - '73
So as far as they are concerned it's not a genuine import so they weren't interested. WTF...!
So Shannons got my business again.

Maiden voyage today only 20k's or so but it didn't stop, catch fire, crash and nothing fell off (that i know of) so I guess it was a success.

Can't believe how much different they are to drive than the beetle.

Well like them or not it's a nother VW on the road where it belongs.
